We have been bombarded with email by sport lovers all over the world, asking us if we are going to
create a sports’ page.

We did a search for a capable personality to anchor our sports’ page, preferably a sports man,
someone who knows the arena well enough to give us latest happenings in the sports world.

We contacted one of Nigeria’s top sportsmen, someone who have been making waves for over a
decade in his chosen sport Despite his tight schedule, and because of his love for minorities,
Mr.
Oladapo Adu
has agreed to anchor our sports page.

Mr. Adu will be giving us juicy stories from the sports world as well as interviews with top sports men
and women.

Partnering with Dapo in making sure that the sports section is unbeatable and irresistible is Mr.
Osagie Dosumu.
Mr. Dosumu specialty is in football (soccer to you if in USA). With this two, the place to
be when you think sports is here!

Ladies and Gentlemen: join me in welcoming to the most innovative magazine online,
Mr. Oladapo Adu

                                                                                               You Are Welcome
                                                                                               By Dapo Adu
I welcome you all to Minorities Interests. Its so good to be associated with a website that is promoting issues affecting minorities,
which has my support, it is fantastic that the same website is promoting sports especially Chess, which is something I am
passionate about.

I have been in this sport for quite a while and quite proud to have been representing my country for more than a decade now. It
makes me feel good whenever I am called upon to represent the country, so good that sometimes I deep my hand into my pocket
just to make sure that Nigeria takes her place in the comity of nations as far as Chess is concerned.

In my journey in the sports world I do meet many sports personalities; I will try to tell you their stories sometimes.

As for those who are interested in chess, I will try to find time and create a column that will tell you Chess basics, if your kids are
interested in Chess they may learn to play the game by reading the basics that I will be putting up and don’t think they can’t excel,
see the photograph I took with Joshua Colas, that may serve as some sort of inspiration.

Joshua Colas, a C player, is 9 years old, son of Guy Colas, and he is amazing. Considering his talent it will not shock me if in two
years time he becomes a master. I will talk to his dad to see if we can get an interview with the little man, maybe he could get kids
his age to be interested in the sophisticated game of chess.

I will also share with you some photos that I took at Miami; you may read about the tournament at www.miamichess.com

I participated in the Miami Chess open, where I tied for first in the U-2300 section. I tied with
Osvaldo Pena Cabrera, Timur Aliyev,
Chris J Mabe.
I played 4 Grandmasters and went on to beat two of them. I won GM Alonzo Zapata 2523 and GM
Pascal Charbonneau 2538. Some masters went under the hammer as well; I ended up with 5 1/2
points out of nine games, that helped my fide rating.

See the games and my rating as well as that of my opponents at www.miamichess.com, click on
Miami Chess Open.

If you enjoy soccer you will enjoy the articles of my partner in sport, I like soccer myself, so, like you I will
be enjoying some soccer news from him.

Until next time enjoy the Following Photos.
